My Last Day at Daffodil

My Last Day at Daffodil

My first job after my diploma in Information Technology was at Daffodil Software Limited ( http://www.daffodilsw.com). I worked at Daffodil Software Ltd. for more than three and half years and I had many sweet as well as sour experiences during those days. I joined the company on June 2, 2003 and worked there till December 17, 2006. I have learnt many things during my tenure at Daffodil. I learnt different skills at daffodil be it technical, interpersonal, communication, leadership or management, it was like an allround growth for me at Daffodil. I made many good friends at Daffodil and I got a chance to improve and develop myself. While working with Mr. Puneet Agarwal and Mr. Nitin Goyal, I learnt how to instill different skills in your fellows. While working with Daffodil, I was posted at Hisar most of the time. Hisar is also my hometown and I felt lilke home at Daffodil and used to call it my second home. When I was leaving Daffodil I was feeling like leaving my home and second home together because I was joining Second Foundation ( http://www.secf.com) which is in Chandigarh and I had to leave my home and hometown. I had to leave all my friends and relatives behind and start a new journey.

During the period between the day i resigned to the last day, I was in a mixed state of excitement, anxiety and despair. On my last day at Daffodil, I was feeling an emptiness filling my heart and all the excitement was gone suddenly.

During the daytime I worked as my routine (checking bugs in issue tracker, solving problems of my colleagues and other such tasks) and in evening we enjoyed a small farewell given to me accompanied with some refreshment. And then at the end of it everyone left for their home.

In the evening there was a little party organized ay my colleagueas well as my best friend at Daffodil, Amit Singh's place. The party was full of fun, confessions, promises and emotions. I had the first mug of beer in my life at that party. It was a wonderful and memorable night. When we returned to home, it was past midnight.

The next day I had do start a new journey...
